McCarthy smashing watermelons, ‘Fins QB swap, NBA Free Agency, Theo Epstein gone

The gang starts off with the news of the day, Mike McCarthy brought a sledgehammer to Minnesota to smash watermelons in front of the team in an effort to fire them up. Mission successful. They also dive into the NFC West battle on Thursday night, the big injury to Joe Burrow, the game of the Frauds in the Ravens/Titans, the Dolphins’ confusing loss, and if the QB change to Taysom Hill could be beneficial for New Orleans moving forward. They then jump into some early winners and losers of NBA free agency, highlighted by the Lakers somehow getting better and the Hornets staying…well, as the East’s perennial 8 seed. Baseball provided some headlines with Theo Epstein leaving the Cubs, the Dodgers rumored to be in on a trade for Nolan Arenado, and Robinson Cano yet again testing positive for PEDs.
